The MET School Entrepreneurial Center

The MET School New Entrepreneurial Center, located in Providence, Rhode Island is a 3,900 square foot, freestanding addition to the MET School's Public Street Campus. The structure serves to provide an innovative learning environment and acts as a model for career and technical education. In 2011, Stephen Turner Inc was retained to provide commissioning services in accordance with New England Collaborative for High Performance Schools (NE-CHPS) Version 2.0 mandatory and elective commissioning requirements throughout construction phase and into occupancy. The commissioning process was undertaken, in part, to fulfill NE-CHPS Energy Efficiency Prerequisite 4 for Fundamental Commissioning and also to achieve Energy Efficiency Elective Credit 3 for Enhanced Commissioning. The energy-related systems that were the focus of the commissioning effort included a radiant floor heating system to supplement Air Handling Units and Unit Heaters.
